Rung by a mainly local band at the request of the Parish Council immediately after the official reopening of the village bus shelter after its recent refurbishment & improvements which included the unveiling of a new mosaic in the bus shelter which forms part of the “Spires & Steeples Arts and Heritage Trail” which passes through the village.
The bus shelter was official reopened by local ringer and long standing village resident Ron Applewhite who built the bus shelter back in 1951/2 to commemorate the Festival of Britain.
Ron came and had a ring with us after the quarter, after he had undertaken his official duties.
Thanks to John Ketteringham for coming over and helping us out by ringing in this quarter.

Ron was a member of the Branston Surprise Minor Peal Band during the 1950’s & 60’s ringing many peals here on these bells. He is now the oldest living member of the Lincoln Diocesan Guild, of which he was made an Honorary Life Member in 2004.
This is the first peal to be rung on the bells for 25 years.
