Learning to Ring!
We are always looking for new recruit to learn the ropes! If you are interested in learning to ring or want to find out more about bell ringing come along to one of our Tuesday Practice Nights or contact Yvonne Woodcock (01522 790942), You will be made most welcome. ANYONE CAN LEARN TO RING!!!
It doesn't matter what age you are - whether you are young, old or some where in between!
You don't need to be strong, It is surprising how little effort it takes to ring a bell, it does not involve a lot of physical effort!
You don't need to be a mathematical genius!
You don't have to be religious to enjoy bell ringing!
You don't need to be musical!
It is a great social activity involving team work!
It's good exercise and keeps the mind active!
You will meet people from all different walks of life and have a global network of friends!
It won't cost you anything to learn - apart from time on the end of a bell rope practicing!
You do not have to stop to Church services if you don't want to!
There's always a new challenge or something new to progress on to if you want!
You can take it as far as you want, you will never run out of new things to learn!
Everyone is equal and treated the same!
You will be made welcome by ringers all over the world if you wish to visit other towers!
And lastly you will be continuing a tradition which dates back hundreds of years!
